RTPR Allen & Overy advises ADM Capital on the sale of Brikston

​RTPR Allen & Overy has advised private equity fund ADM Capital on the sale of Brikston Construction Solutions S.A. (previously Ceramica S.A.) to the Austrian group Wienerberger. The transaction is subject to approval by the Competition Council. Brikston Construction Solutions S.A. is one of the major players on the masonry and finishing materials market in Romania, with over 200 employees in the factory in Iasi. The RTPR Allen & Overy team of lawyers which assisted ADM Capital on this deal was coordinated by Costin Tărăcilă (Managing Partner) and Andrei Mihul (Managing Associate), and further included Roxana Ionescu (Counsel), Laurențiu Tisescu (Associate) and Bogdan Nae (Junior Associate). Patent litigation partner Jan Ebersohl joins A&O in Munich

Allen & Overy LLP is strengthening its German IP litigation practice with renowned patent litigator Dr Jan Ebersohl,who will join the firm’s Munich office as a partner in December.  Jan, who has been a partner at Quinn Emanuel since 2015, will primarily deal in hi-tech-related proceedings.  He regularly represents his clients in patent infringement and nullity cases.  Jan is also increasingly advising on international arbitration proceedings due to the rise of arbitration being used as an alternative dispute mechanism in hi-tech IP cases.  His appointment speaks directly to A&O’s strategy to expand the firm’s leading global IP litigation practice and follows recent lateral hires in London and Shanghai.
